Background: This song can be best associated as the theme song to the movie "Harold & Maude". The film simply is a lesson to embrace the circle of life as it comes and be as optimistic as you can. Cat Stevens wrote the complete movie score. He converted to Islam and is now known as Yusuf Islam. After a long abstinence he returned to pop music in 2006.

Trivia: The soundtrack album for the 1971 movie was released in 2007.

My two cents: I LOVE the movie. If you haven't seen it, you definitely missed something. It's a classic. The music perfectly fits the movie and in my opinion never seems outdated. His music is well written and easy to play (even I can play some songs on the guitar) yet simply beautiful. Check out also his newer Yusuf Islam songs.
