Background: Dick Brave actually is German pop artist Sasha. By 2003 he had the idea of founding a rockabilly band and recorded an album with re-arranged cover versions of old and new songs. "Dick This!" was a number-one record and also Sasha's first number-one. So far they have two albums out, their latest record "Rock Therapy" was released last year.
Trivia: In 2006 Dick Brave performed on P!nk's wedding.
My two cents: I simply love the whole Dick Brave project. The re-arrangements of pop classics and modern songs are professionally crafted, very well adopted to 50's music and played by great musicians. Sasha undoubtedly is a great singer and has the chance to show what he's able to do in the Dick Brave context, without the diluted influence of pop music producers. I wonder why Dick Brave had his great success in Germany only.
